Care and Feeding instructions. (My personal novice experience)

Adult Care:

I have my dragons in a 36"L x 17"H x 19"D enclosure. I have a 36" 10.0 Repti-sun fluorescent and a 50 Watt daytime basking bulb and a 50 watt night time red bulb. I use sand as a substrate.  Sand works good for me because it clumps the wet spots and it's easy to scoop the poop out. You may also use paper and other substrates. I have some wood for them to climb on and a ceramic tile to put under the night time spot bulb to warm their bellies. My night time bulb is on 24 hrs a day. They have a warm side and a cooler side so they can self regulate their temperature. My bulbs are on a timer which works great.

I have an outdoor enclosure that Spike and Cinnamon get to hang out in every other day or so. It's on my back porch which gets afternoon direct sun exposure. I have a large basking piece of wood, greenery for shade, a water dish for a drink or a bath. I spray them with the hose on the mist setting which they absolutely enjoy. I also run the hose on the shower setting and let it stream through their enclosure at which time they quickly go to it and wriggle around like they are trying to swim. They usually take a drink and soak too. I constantly check the temperature to make sure it's not too hot. DO NOT use a glass enclosure outdoors or you could BAKE your Beardie.

I feed my dragons crickets, super worms, and an assortment of greens. I do feed pinky mice on occasion. Cinnamon eats LOTS of everything!!! YES! She is a big pig! Spike eats mostly crickets and a few greens. He really loves the super worms. I've heard good and bad things about super worms and how they may not be as digestible as other softer worms. I use orange cubes or cricket feed to feed my crickets which are used to feed my dragons. I also use a calcium dust on the crickets on occasion to keep my dragons healthy and happy. If your dragon gets natural sunlight on a regular basis, you may not need the calcium supplement.

I mist my dragons once per day and alternate between veggies and crickets. This seems to work out nicely with my dragons.

I know some of the information is conflicting, but almost everyone has their own idea about the perfect bearded dragon care management. Do your research and you will have a happy, healthy dragon too. I've done a lot of reading and researching and am happy that my dragons are doing so well! Good luck.
